The Pub was formerly owned by "Pluto" James MacLennan(unfortunatly no longer with us) who made extensive modifications over the years creating the guts of a great bar. The Bar itself is a major feature well worth seeing. It has been constructed from solid oak, forrested locally, and worked by local craftsmen, both joiners and cabinetmakers.The Pub's location, on the Canalside, has made it popular with all who travel through the Canal. A very well stocked bar and excellent Bar Food (using best quality local produce) together with the lively atmosphere should guarantee you an enjoyable time.
The Lock Inn is no stranger to the media. The pub has been featured many times on National Television and many personalities have chosen to 'drop-in' for a bite and a dram or two..!!
