The Royal Scot has been custom designed for sailing on Loch Ness and offers every comfort and safety feature needed to help you sit back, relax and enjoy the cruise. The boat accommodates 111 passengers between the spacious saloon and upper deck, with plenty of room to move around during the voyage. Drinks and light snacks can be purchased from the licensed bar.

DEPARTURES

Cruises operate seven days a week from April to October. Departures are on the hour from 10.00am - 7.00pm, subject to demand and weather conditions. The Royal Scott is moored on the canal below the locks, in the centre of Fort Augustus. Tickets can be purchased from the booking office adjacent to the jetty. Out of season bookings can be made by telephone.

GOLF COURSE

There is a typical Highland nine hole golf course near Loch Ness beside Fort Augustus which is open to visitors. The fee per day is ten pounds sterling.

HORSE RIDING CENTRE

Offers unique opportunity to ride on well-schooled and mannered horses through spectacular scenery overlooking Fort Augustus and Loch Ness. We provide short treks for the less experienced to half day and all day rides for the more experienced.

You can hire Mountain Bikes in the village. There are one or two local trails which you might like to explore during your visit.
The Clansman Centre is located in the building at the canalside beside the Royal Scot Cruise embarkation point.
